Pay Rate: $30-$36/hour

We are seeking an experienced Contract Specialist or Paralegal with a strong background in Architecture & Engineering (A&E) or construction contracts to support our Risk Manager during an upcoming leave of absence. This is a fully remote, hourly, on-call role requiring approximately 40 hours per week.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience reviewing professional services agreements, public agency solicitations, and construction-related contract documents. They should be able to step in with minimal onboarding, work independently, and communicate effectively with internal project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, redline, and negotiate professional services contracts, including A&E agreements and construction-related documents.
- Analyze and provide guidance on risk management, insurance requirements, indemnity clauses, and other contractual risk provisions.
- Review public agency RFPs/RFQs, flag risk-related elements, and support proposal compliance.
- Collaborate with internal project managers and stakeholders to ensure alignment on contract terms and risk posture.
- Apply established company processes and templates to ensure consistency across all documentation.
- Provide timely updates and recommendations to the Risk Manager and internal teams.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Contract Administrator, Contract Specialist, or Corporate/Transactional Paralegal.
- Direct experience with A&E contracts, design professional services, or construction industry contracts.
- Strong understanding of insurance and risk-related contract provisions.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong redlining/document review skills.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting engineering, architecture, planning, or construction-related organizations.
- Familiarity with public agency procurement processes (RFPs, RFQs, solicitations).
- Ability to interpret and apply established internal contract workflows.
Work Environment
- 100% remote, candidates may be located anywhere in the United States.
